This year’s NWAS meeting will be held at the new Beaty Biodiversity Museum (http://beatymuseum.ubc.ca). The opening reception on Friday evening (May 11) will be held under the blue whale skeleton in the museum atrium.  On Saturday, the museum will be open to the public.  The symposium will include both oral and poster presentations covering any aspect of microalgal, macroalgal, or protist research.  Undergraduate and graduate students are most welcome!  Awards will be presented for the best student poster and best oral presentation.

Accommodations: Limited accommodations have been set aside, but it is your responsibility to reserve and pay for your own room (costs NOT included with the registration fees).  Reservations must be made by April 11.  Please use the following link to reserve your room: Link .

Banquet: Saturday evening (May 12) there will be a catered banquet on campus (cost of the banquet will be included in the registration fees).

Students: Students will pay a reduced registration fee and will be encouraged to apply for financial assistance for travel and registration.
